A total of 20 students were arrested on Tuesday, February 4, following a violent clash at Salaga Senior High School (SHS) in the Savannah Region, which left one person seriously injured.
The clash reportedly erupted between two student groups.
While 17 students have been granted bail and are required to report periodically to the police, three students remain in police custody.
Police also retrieved a locally manufactured gun.
According to sources, the dispute began on February 1, 2025, between two day students during an entertainment event.

The disagreement was later reported to their respective groups in Kpembe and Salaga townships, fueling tensions that led to the violent outburst.
The three students in custody are expected to be processed for court proceedings.
A seven-member committee has been set up to investigate the incident, with findings expected to include the cause of the clash and recommendations for preventing similar occurrences in the future.
Meanwhile, calm has been restored, and school activities have resumed as normal.
