Stephen Appiah believes in the Black Stars, and wants them to go for the kill ahead of the second leg World Cup qualifier against Comoros.
The former Juventus and Fenerbache midfielder, who captained Ghana to their first ever World Cup campaign, is confident the team has the needed weapons to take down their Comoros opponents tomorrow provided they approach the game with the right mentality.
“The only team we own as Ghanaians is the Black Stars and the mantle is now with the current crop of players,” Appiah said.
“I am very sure that the current players who are my friends and brothers know the Herculean nature of the task ahead. But that is why we are Ghana because we have the ability to beat anybody in the world with the right attitude.”
“It’s the sort of game that you have to be focused because the margin of error is very small. But I am very sure that with the unity in camp they should be able to make it a pass Comoros.”
Appiah has been at two World Cups and retired earlier this year.
