Ibrahim Tanko says despite the 5-1 defeat to Morocco on Tuesday night, the Black Meteors still have a chance of advancing to the next stage of the ongoing U-23 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Black Meteors suffered a heavy defeat to the host nation and surrendered their lead in Group A following Guinea's victory over Congo earlier in the day.
The results on Tuesday now mean Ghana now drops to third in the standings and needs nothing but a win against Guinea if they are to qualify to the next stage of the competition.
Speaking after the humiliating performance against Morocco, Tanko admitted there is still a possibility for his team to go all the way and achieve their targets.
"We still have a chance in this tournament, we have a last game so we are going to prepare for that," he said.
"We now have two days to rest so we are going to make use of it and try to win our next match.
"Both teams want to go to the next stage so we are going to prepare very well for the game. I can only talk about my team because I don't know what the Guineans want but definitely, we want to win to go to the next stage."
Ghana's game against Guinea is slated for Friday, June 30.
