The Electoral Commission (EC) has dismissed claims on different voting dates for Presidential Candidates in the upcoming 2024 general elections.
This follows media reports suggesting different voting dates for some Presidential Candidates.
The Commission has labeled these claims as false and urged the public to disregard them entirely.
In a statement issued on November 24, the EC reaffirmed that voting for the 2024 general election will be held nationwide on Saturday, December 7, 2024, from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
"The General Public is informed that the 2024 Election will take place on 7th December, 2024."
The Commission encouraged all registered voters to participate in the electoral process and reminded citizens to approach the polls in an orderly and peaceful manner.

The EC also reiterated the significance of every citizen’s vote, emphasizing its slogan for the election: "Election 2024 - Your Vote, Your Future."
