The winner of Ghana’s Most Beautiful 2024 and founder of EcoGreen Oases Legacy, Queen Nihad Titiaka Oases Ibrahim, has taken bold steps in advocating for climate action and sustainable employment by engaging key government officials on collaborative solutions.
In separate high-level meetings, she met with Hon. Seidu Issifu, Minister of State, Climate Change and Sustainability, and Hon. Dr Abdul-Rashid Hassan Pelpuo, Minister of Labour, Jobs and Employment, to discuss strategies for integrating climate resilience with job creation across Ghana.
During her meeting with Hon. Seidu Issifu, Queen Titiaka, highlighted her flagship initiative, Empowering Communities for Climate Action, under her organisation, EcoGreen Oases Legacy. The project focuses on waste-to-wealth initiatives, afforestation, clean cooking solutions, and climate education to drive sustainable development at the community level.
She stressed the need for localized climate solutions, ensuring that vulnerable communities actively participate in and benefit from Ghana’s climate adaptation efforts.

Hon. Seidu Issifu commended Queen Titiaka’s passion and commitment, acknowledging the critical role of youth leadership in shaping Ghana’s climate policies. He assured her of the Ministry’s willingness to collaborate on initiatives that align with Ghana’s climate action agenda, particularly in waste management and community-led afforestation programs.
In a separate meeting with Hon. Dr. Abdul-Rashid Hassan Pelpuo, Minister of Labour, Job, and Employment, Queen Titiaka, emphasized the job creation potential of climate-focused projects. She explained how her Empowering Communities for Climate Action initiative is designed to train and equip young people, women, and artisans with skills in recycling, sustainable agriculture, clean cooking technologies, and eco-entrepreneurship. These efforts, she noted, would not only contribute to environmental sustainability but also drive economic empowerment by creating green jobs.

The Minister of Labour, Jobs and Employment lauded Queen Titiaka’s vision and assured her of the government’s support in exploring policy-backed employment programs that align with climate resilience and sustainability. He expressed interest in working with EcoGreen Oases Legacy to integrate climate action into Ghana’s broader employment strategies, particularly in rural communities where job opportunities are limited.
Speaking after the meetings, Queen Nihad Titiaka Oases Ibrahim reaffirmed her dedication to championing community-driven climate solutions and economic empowerment, stating, "This is beyond the crown. It is about ensuring that climate action is practical, inclusive, and beneficial to communities. We need policies that integrate climate resilience with job creation, ensuring that young people and women have sustainable livelihoods while contributing to environmental conservation.”

These engagements mark a significant step in bridging grassroots activism with national policy, ensuring that climate action is not just a conversation but a reality for Ghana’s communities. With government backing, EcoGreen Oases Legacy aims to scale up its impact, working with local communities, policymakers, and development partners to advance Ghana’s climate resilience and sustainable job creation agenda.
