As part of efforts to whip up the enthusiasm of the youth ahead of the 2014 polls, two former National Youth Organisers of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) have given a spark to a group calling itself the “Boys Boys Movement”
Anthony Abayifaa Karbo and Sammi Awuku who engineered the formation of the group in 2016, believe it is still relevant and must be reignited to consolidate the gains the NPP seeks to achieve ahead of the polls.
The former National Organiser revealed the rationale behind the ‘Boys Boys Movement’ said to be catching up with some top celebrities and Ghanaian youth is to ensure the youth play a critical role in the party’s victory.
Sammi Awuku and some NPP bigwigs therefore met with the youth under the auspices “Boys Boys Movement” to enlighten them on the new focus of the association at the Under Bridge events centre located at East Legon last weekend.

A lot of dignitaries who align with the vision of the NPP and some top celebrities were spotted at the “Boys Boys Movement” launch which had some females in attendance as well.
Some familiar faces seen included Samuel Atta Akyea, the Member of Parliament for Abuakwa South Constituency; content creator Kwadwo Sheldon, actors Prince David Osei, Jessica Willaims, Kalybos, musicians Ofori Amposah, and Samini.
Others include; Peter Richie, Praye; comedian Jeneral Ntatia; Miracles Dennis Aboagye; Augustine Blay; Dr. Mutaka Alolo; Nana Appiah, CEO of State Housing Company; Adu Boahen, CEO of Metro Mass Transit; Kwaku Tabi, Deputy CEO of Ghana Post; Kwabena Asamoah, Deputy CEO of MASLOC; Yaw Amoateng Afriyie; Dep. CEO of GIPC and Salam Mustapha, National Youth Leader of the NPP.

“The Boys Boys movement which was formed in 2016 came to rescue the country at a point where everybody was down and delivered victory. Myself and the other team members decided to start this movement in the Greater Accra Region. We must network and have a discussion. Today’s discussion will not be centred on politics only. A mixture of drinks, music and why we need Bawumia 2024”, Mr Awuku revealed.
According to him, when the NPP develops a stronghold in Greater Accra, then there’s an assurance that there is victory.
He emphasised that some people want to help in the campaign but have no idea who to speak to or how to start hence the formation of the “Boys Boys Movement”.

The ‘Boys Boys Movement’ is an innovative initiative designed to energize the last phase of the New Patriotic Party campaign and establish a strong network of mentorship and action. The movement is a call to the older boys and others who want to be mentored. This Movement formed is driven by the vision of empowering the next generation of leaders.
One of the missions of the Movement is to bring together entertainment icons and some of the most influential people in the industry to lead and inspire others.
