Our attention has been drawn to a piece of article raising baseless doubts about the genuineness of the land 21st Century Ltd has been selling to its customers.
The piece, which was published on Ghana Web on March 14, 2011, can be termed as not only mischievous but malicious.
According to the piece, 21st Century is engaged in a legal suit with others over the ownership of the land it has been selling to its customers.
Management views this as desperate attempts by those behind the piece to cause disaffection for the company in view of an imminent defeat in court.
Knowing the sanctity of our business we would rather our detractors proceed to court than resort to needless media gimmicks and crusade to score cheap points.
Management will state without any equivocation that 21st Century is not engaged in any illegal sale of lands to people.
We have sold some 120 estate houses on the same tract of land to buyers who are living comfortably on the land, contrary to speculations by the faceless people behind the publication.
We have also received orders for purchase in the region of 500 houses that are awaiting final consummation.
For the records, 21st Century Ltd owns over 20,000 acres of land in the area. It can only be ignorance, mischief or both for anybody to suggest that the land in contention is only 2,000.
It is important to state that 21st Century Ltd is a credible company whose activities are above board and whose dealings with Ghana Police Service, Ghana Armed Forces, Ghana Immigration Service, Customs, Excise and Preventive Service, Bank of Ghana, Ghana Commercial Bank, American Communications Systems, Ghana Medical Association, Anglogold Ashanti, State Insurance Company, Vodafone and Peace FM, is there for all to see.
It is our mission as a credible company to assist prospective land and estate buyers to acquire their property but we do so only after the interested party conducts searches at the appropriate quarters. We only accept payment after the issue of ownership verification has been sorted out.
Even though we have in the past engaged in a legal suit with some disgruntled people over the ownership of some portions of the land-cases which we won- it would be unfortunate for anybody to suggest that we have no title to the land.
It is clear that some faceless individuals are bent on denting the reputation of our company and to cause disaffection with our clients but we will not allow them.
We therefore implore our clients and right thinking individuals to ignore such publication with a firm assurance that 21st Century Ltd would not jeopardise their future.
We, by this publication dare critics to go to court and show proof of their ownership of the land, or shut up.
We also urge the media and the public to always endeavour to cross check their facts with the company before publishing the malicious and false reports.
Signed
