Three people died on the spot while 15 others are seriously injured in a ghastly accident at Tailer junction near Winneba junction in the Central Regional.
This was after a Toyota Vitz with registration number GW 907-24 collided with Toyota Hiace passengers car with the registration number AW 78-22.
In an interview with Adom News, Winneba Municipal Fire Service Commander D.0.2 Fredrick Adu-Poku revealed that, the driver of the Toyota Vitz tried to overtake a tricycle infront him and in the process collided with the O.A express passengers car from Accra to Obuasi.
He said both cars veered off from the highway and run into a ditch.
DO 2 Adu-Opoku said, one male and two female died on the spot while the remaining 15 people have sent to Winneba Trauma and Specialist Hospital for treatment.
He cautioned drivers to drive with extra care ahead of the Yultide to reduce road accidents.
