Three Ghanaian personalities have been honoured as part of activities to mark the National Tourism Customer Service Month of October.
They are; Minister of Tourism Art and Culture, Dr Mohammed Ibrahim Awal, President of the Ghana Tourism Federation Her Excellency, Bella Ahu and High Commissioner to Malta Barbara Akuokor Benisa. The three personalities were each honoured as National Tourism Heroes Wall of Excellence CLUB 100 Personality of The Month.
The recipients were honoured for their unique contributions in promoting the National Customer Service Excellence Advocacy Agenda in Ghana.
The award, according to the organisers will motivate the younger generation to work assiduously in contributing to national development.
The President of the Service Excellence Foundation and National Tourism Customer Service Brand Ambassador for Ghana, Caleb Kofie added that the National Tourism Customer Service Week, which has now been institutionalised in the Tourism sector, will become an annual event and has therefore called all stakeholders to partner the organization for a successful event next year.
Also, to facilitate the development of Customer Service Excellence as a tourism brand and a strategic tool, the Service Excellence Foundation, under the auspices of the Ghana Tourism Federation, in partnership with the Ministry of Tourism Arts and Culture and the Ghana Tourism Authority, has organized the maiden National Tourism Customer Service Week Celebration.
The event was held under the theme; “Redefining Excellence through Service Experience.”
