The Western Regional Police Command have confirmed the death of four illegal miners death on Monday at Obengkrom in the Axim district.DSP Olivia Ewurabena Adiku, PRO of the Command, said officers at Salma received information that some people engaged in illegal mining have been trapped in a pit when loose debris hanging caved in on them.The victims have been identified as Nicholas Ebiadjoe, 37, Thomas Kwoffie, 30, Comfort Cudjoe, 28 and Monica Mensah, 27.The bodies have been retrieved and deposited at the Axim Government Hospital morgue for preservation and autopsy.
