Five people have been severely injured in an accident on the Ring Road in Accra, which occurred around noon on Wednesday, 9th April 2025.
The incident, which involved five vehicles, is reported to have been caused by a Kia truck loaded with bricks.

The truck, with registration number GX 3456-21, is suspected to have suffered a brake failure, leading to the chain of collision.

According to eyewitnesses, the truck, travelling along Ring Road, lost control when its brakes reportedly failed, crashing into several vehicles in its path. The vehicles involved in the incident included private cars.

Emergency services, including the police, rushed to the scene shortly after the accident, assisting the injured and conveying them to the hospital.

The five victims, including a young boy, who sustained serious injuries, were immediately transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
