Fifty-three underprivileged children in Agona-Gyamase in the Ashanti region are receiving free education at the Yonso Project Model School.
The beneficiaries, as young as four years, are from poor homes and live under conditions threatening to their lives.
Founder and General Manager, Kwabena Danso, says the community school is a commitment to providing good quality access to education.
Kwabena Danso was speaking at the 1st graduation, speech and prize-giving ceremony of Yonso Project Model School.
The school sits on the rural outskirts of Yonso and has a population of about 492 pupils.
“Our approach is to provide quality practical education for total transformation for pupils even in rural areas.
"There are 53 pupils from poor homes receiving free education at this school. These pupils would have been raided of the opportunity to get an education if not for our scholarship.
“If there is time to think about visionary leaders whose utmost priority is the people and the country, this is the time.
"Our goal is to shift the normal paradigm by orientating students towards responsible leadership where they will learn that leadership is the position of service and not for the amassing of wealth and personal gains,” Mr Danso said.

The occasion also offered the opportunity to appeal for funds for three-year-old Priscilla Agyekum in need of spinal surgery costing ¢140,000.
In upholding its mission of catering for the well-being of its pupils, Mr Danso explained the school is committed to raising the amount with help of sympathizers.
“The school has been supporting the child with GH30,000, so today we decided to do additional fundraising to help the kid, unfortunately, we couldn’t raise enough. We were not able to raise more than ¢10,000.
“We are going beyond just offering education but also looking at the general well-being of the child because if the child has the peace of mind and the wellness it creates a conducive atmosphere for them to have the peace of mind to study,” he stated.
Henry Abraham is the board chair of Bloomers Bamboo Bikes, the organization supporting the Yonso Project Model School.
“Many people have talent and the ability but opportunity is not there for them to progress, so I think this is a really worthwhile thing to support and am proud to see the progress Yonso Project Model School has made.
"The reason why I wanted to support is, I saw in him someone who wants to make a difference in his local community. In the long term we hope to see many more schools like Yonso project schools across the country,” he said.
Outstanding pupils and teachers were awarded.
The school has established a middle school, a practical curriculum, and an emphasis on science and technology education
