A sixty year old woman who neighbours allege is a witch is reported to have given birth to a rat at Ekumfi Eku Mpoano in the Central Region.The woman whose name has been withheld for safety reasons is said to have challenged a pastor who told her she was possessed by an evil spirit.The Head Pastor of the 12 Apostles Church in the Central Region, Madam Akua Nyaneba on Monday told Adom News when the woman was brought to her she was not pregnant but upon praying for her, the woman confessed she was a witch and was carrying the rat for onward transfer into her sister’s womb.According to Madam Nyaneba, the alleged witch wanted to destroy her sister because she had rained insults on her during a quarrel.The Assemblyman of Eku Mpoano in the Agona East Municipal Assembly, Jerry John Arthur confirmed the incident to Adom News.He said members of the community were now taking care of the rat for fear that if they kill it the 60 year old suspected witch would die.
