Eight people have been reported dead, with six others injured in a fatal accident at Akyem Boadua in the Eastern Region.
The accident occurred in the early hours of Friday, March 7, 2025.
Information gathered by Adom News suggests that five people died on the spot, while three others succumbed to their injuries upon arrival at the hospital.
The vehicle was traveling from Kade to Accra, and despite not being familiar with the route, the driver was reportedly speeding.
Passengers pleaded with him to slow down, but their concerns were ignored.
A few minutes after passing Adankrono and heading towards Pentemtwam, the driver lost control due to the bushy nature of the road, which obstructed visibility.
The vehicle reportedly somersaulted several times. The driver, however, fled the scene after the accident.
