The 8th Binduri Excellence Awards in the Upper East Region has been held to reshape children toward their goals.
The awards also intend to build a society of people who will make good decisions, live peacefully, and develop the District.

Annually, the Binduri Excellence Team (BET) and the Ghana Education Service (GES) organise science and math quiz competitions, essay competitions, and a cultural competition to improve education in the district.
These competitions always culminate in an award ceremony for competition winners and other award winners.

This year's edition was held on December 20, 2022, and Concordia Preparatory won the District science and math quiz. Bazua Christian Academy came in second, with Bazua RC JHS coming in third.
Only females won the top awards in the essay competition, making it an all-female affair.
Mbilla Awinbood Mercy of Binduri Girls Model won first place, followed by Anane Awinbod Vida of Kpalugu JHS and Mbugri Nafisah of Gumyoko JHS.

Gumyoko JHS was named the best-performing public school in the Binduri District.
Binduri District Director of GES, John Soka Jaggrey, praised the organizers' efforts while urging charitable individuals and organizations to follow in their footsteps and support the district's efforts to strengthen basic education.
Prosper Ndego Yeam-Wego Ngoswini, Chairman of the Binduri Excellence Awards Team, encouraged the Chiefs and people of Binduri to continue to support the competitions and award ceremony.
According to him, improving the quality of basic education will play a critical role in significantly reshaping children toward their goals, as well as building a society of people who will make good decisions, live peacefully, and help Binduri District develop.

Mr. Ngoswini thanked the BET members and competition sponsors, assuring the district of their commitment to future competitions and encouraging others to do the same.
