Only days after the interception of two buses in Tamale suspected to be trafficking children to southern Ghana, another bus has been intercepted at Tumu in the Sisala East district of the Upper West Region carrying 92 children. Ransford FM’s Mohamed Balu Salia told Joy News the children were being transported to southern Ghana. The children were held at the Tumu College of Education for screening by personnel from the Social Welfare Department, the district assembly and the police to ascertain those behind the trafficking. Balu Salia said the farming season is on in the area and the children are supposed to assist their parents or guardians on their farms until schools reopen. Story by Joy News/Myjoyonline.com/Ghana
