The 1998 year group of Apam Senior High School (APASS) has refurbished the dining hall of the school to accommodate all students during dining period as part of its 20th-anniversary celebration.

According to president of the group, Ben Lord Gaisie, “the headmaster told the group the old dining hall could not contain all the students at once, compelling school authorities to allow students to eat in batches.”

Mr Gaisie said the group decided after a series of deliberations to immediately begin construction to extend the dining hall because of the constant increase in enrollment of students at the secondary school.

The District Chief Executive of Gomoa West District, Bismark Baisie Nkum, and a member of the group was impressed at the finished project. He assured the school of government’s resolve to ensure every school going child has access to quality education.

The 1998 year group’s 20th-anniversary celebration will begin on November 30 and end on December 2, 2018

APAM SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL, 1998 YEAR GROUP MARKS ITS 20TH ANNIVERSARY

Students of Apam Senior High School, popularly referred to as ASSOSA who graduated in 1998 are marking their 20th anniversary with a big celebration starting from November 30 to December 2, 2018.

Speaking to the press on activities lined up for this historic feat, their president, Mr Ben Lord Gaisie told the media that the group had discussions with the management of the school on some of their pressing needs.

After a series of deliberations, the group settled on the extension of the dining hall to accommodate all students at a go during the dinning period.

Hitherto, the headmaster told the group that in view of the increase in enrollment, the old dining hall could not contain all the students at once, compelling school authorities to allow students to eat in batches.

A situation that had a telling effect on their academic work.  The project which amounted to over Twenty-five thousand GhC25,000.00 has been completed and would be handed over to the school on Saturday, December 1, 2018.
