Seven people, including two Chinese nationals, have been killed in a gory lorry accident which occurred on the Nyinahin section of the Kumasi-Bibiani road.
The accident which occurred at a spot between Akorabuokurom and Nyinahin in the Atwima Mponua district on Sunday saw a Grand Tiger Pick Up vehicle and a Sprinter bus colliding head-on at about 2 p.m.
Three occupants, including two Chinese nationals and their Ghanaian driver on board the Pick Up with registration GE 791-16 were killed whilst four others from the Sprinter bus with registration GE 801-16 also died.
Among the four deceased passengers from the Sprinter is one woman.
Nkawie Divisional MTTD Commander, DSP Bernard Amidu Norgarh told Nhyira FM 12 other passengers on board the Sprinter bus who sustained varying degrees of injuries have been admitted at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.
According to him, the Sprinter bus driver traveling from Kumasi-Bibiani direction of the road lost control of the steering wheel, veered-off into the lane of oncoming Pick Up vehicle after the Sprinter bus had hit a pothole.
The Grand Tiger Pick-Up vehicle was traveling from the Bibiani-Kumasi.
Meanwhile, all the victims killed in the accident have been identified.
