Energy Ministry holds management retreat

The Ministry of Energy and Petroleum has ended a two-day management retreat aimed at developing short, medium and long term goals to fit into the ministry’s new mandate. A statement issued from the ministry said this was to realign the policy of the ministry and its current mandate with that of the governing party’s manifesto and the 2013 budget. Energy and Petroleum Minister Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah commended the management for their various contributions during the conference, the statement said. “Your inputs helped to harmonize the work plans of the various directorates and units, which would guarantee the achievement of the policy goals of the energy sector”. Mr Armah-Kofi Buah said the ministry would continue to play its supervisory role over its agencies and ensure that they are in line with government policy on energy. He encouraged the management team to continue to bring on board new ideas geared towards achieving the sectors policy goals.
