The Fair Wages and Salaries Commission (FWSC) have assured the University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG) they will be paid their full premiums in May if all goes well after today's meeting.
The Commission is scheduled to meet later this morning teachers in the country’s public universities.
The Commission says all outstanding payments will be made next month should UTAG accept their proposals today after their scheduled meeting.
The head of public Affairs at the Commission, Earl Ankrah, told Joy News the Commission will look at the teacher’s concerns based on the payment of arrears on the 2012 market premium.
“If they turn up and accept the proposal we have for them, which all other groups with benefits from the interim market premium arrangement have accepted...then definitely everything will be wrapped up”, he assured.
According to the arrangements the Commission has with other labour unions payments will start in May this year, he added.
