A Sunyani Magistrate's court on Wednesday sentenced two students to 300 Ghana cedis fine each for examination malpractices.Agyekum Dankwa and Osei Kofi Kingsley pleaded guilty to exchanging examination papers and would serve six months’ imprisonment each in default.Police Chief Inspector Alex Fosu, prosecuting, told the court presided over by Mr Albert Zoogah that the complainant was an invigilator of West Africa Examination Council (WAEC).He said on October 13, this year, during the Economics I and II examination in the November-December private examinations of the Council at Sunyani Secondary School centre the complainant spotted the accused persons exchanging their examination papers.The prosecutor said the complainant observed that Dankwa with index number 1061507262 had exchanged his paper with that of Osei who had index number 161507222.He said the students were handed over to the police for further investigations and during interrogation, they admitted the offence and pleaded for forgiveness.Source: GNA
