Ghana goalkeeper Fatau Dauda made his debut for Orlando Pirates on Sunday in their 5-1 pre-season friendly win over Lesotho side Matlama FC in Maseru.
Dauda, who was recently signed from Ghana Premier League side AshantiGold, was a second half substitute.
Pirates coach Roger de Sa wants to adopt a gradual approach of introducing the Ghana first choice goalkeeper.
He started the match with Meyiwa before bringing on the Ghanaian for the second period and Dauda conceded the only goal scored by Matlama.
Dauda is regarded as the replacement for Moeneeb Josephs.
Lennox Bacela and Sifiso Myeni both netted a brace for Orlando Pirates and Ndumiso Mabena scored the fifth.
