The national Chief Imam Sheik Osman Nuhu Sharabutu has commended the Ghana Students Industrial Attachment Initiative for taking a bold initiative to clean all Zongo communities during the Ramadan, describing it as bold step in the right direction.
According to Sheik Osman Nuhu Sharabutu, the nation can only develop when its environment is clean and the people are living in good health noting that, the key that can increase the productivity level of the nation, is through clean environment.
The Chief Imam was addressing the leadership of the Ghana Students Industrial Attachment Initiative (GSIAP), after they embarked on a four hour intensive clean up within some selected Zongo Communities in Accra. Sheik Sharabutu advised Muslims to keep their environments clean and adapt to practices leading to clean health.
The leadership of GSIAP also donated some food items including rice, oil and sugar worth over GH¢8,000 to some Muslim communities.
The programmes Manager of GSIAP Nathaniel Ebo Nsarko assured the Chief Imam that apart from students being engaged in the health and sanitation department, they are vigorously exploring other areas where students will be engaged to help them discover their career paths.
The Ghana Students Industrial Attachment Initiative was recently commissioned to provide the missing link that students have lost and to help build them up for the world of work. The initiative is targeted at bridging the gap between theory and real work for students.
