The Christian Council of Ghana has admonished every Ghanaian to rise above partisan affiliations, religious segregation and ethnic differentiations especially, as the nation prepares for the Supreme Court ruling.Addressing a news conference Tuesday afternoon, General Secretary of the Council, Reverend Dr. Opuni Frimpong says Ghana has been put to the test with developments after the 2012 elections.Ghanaians, he said, can only accept the verdict if there is a change of mindset.Joy News' Hannah Odame who was at the news conference reports that the Council charged Ghanaians to put up behaviours that will promote peace and development.In a related development, the Presiding Archbishop and General Overseer of Christian Action Faith Ministries, Nicholas Duncan Williams has said no political party can resolve the problems of the country.He has therefore called on Ghanaians to intensify their prayers for the country before and after the Court pronounces judgment in the ongoing election petition.According to him, it is suicidal for Ghanaians to refuse to pray for the nation.The Archbishop said this at a corporate prayer meeting organized by the Christian Action Faith Ministries in Accra, Tuesday.He said peace cannot be achieved outside prayer.
