Dancehall artiste Kakie has spoken for the first time about claims by Lingua Kat (real name Kweku Obeng Amoako ) that he wrote her three hit songs “Too Much, Top gyal, and DC Turn up”.
Joy News caught up with Kakie at the recent Channel O' live recording of “O News Live” at the Silverstars South Terrace in Accra, and she bluntly confirmed that Lingua Kat did actually write her three hit songs. She says:
“Lingua Kat wrote, DC Turn Up, Top Gyal, and a little portion of Too Much…The song ‘Too Much’ was not written by Lingua Kat alone, but with help from dancehall gurus like but Sammini, Stone boy and Jim Jay”.
Kakie also explains that she always acknowledges Lingua Kat: “I always mention his name and appreciate him, probably when I do he doesn’t listen”. She continues, “ I do and respect his opinion since everyone is subjected to their own opinions”.
