The Network of People Living with HIV saysnthey are always embarrassed by abusive language used by officials at some health facilities when they go there to access anti-retroviral drugs.According to the Network, the poor attitude of these health personnel towards its members has discouraged them from visiting the hospital - a situation which has taken a heavy toll on the health of members. The Greater Accra regional Chairman of the Network, Raymond Ahorlu, told Joy News "the way they abuse our people...at Ridge Hospital and Pantang Hospital is unfair."He also reiterated their demands to government to register them under the National Health Insurance Scheme and also called for total abolishment of the Gh¢5 fee they are made to pay before accessing retroviral drugs.
