The Chairman of the Church of Pentecost, Apostle Dr. Opoku Onyinah says the Church intends to use traditional rulers, Chief Executive Officers among others, in efforts to strengthen its discipleship strategies.According to Dr. Opoku Onyinah, the Church has become virtually ineffective because some key persons in society have not been targeted by its activities.
Dr. Opoku Onyinah was addressing delegates at the Annual Bezalel Conference organised by the Men's Ministry of the Church of Pentecost under the theme: “My life, my work, my worship”.The Chairman charged all ministries of the church to review their activities to make them more effective and relevant while stirring the Pentecostal fire to get maximum results. The Director of the Pentecost Men’s Ministry, Apostle Julius Asante-Ayeh called on the church to go beyond winning and leading souls to Jesus Christ and empower them economically."The word of God also encourages us as Christian leaders to admonish all people to work and earn a living and also contribute positively to the economic development of their nation”, he added. He said the increasing number of youth unemployment should be of concern to all hence the need to create a common platform such as the Bezalel conference for networking and afford young and budding entrepreneurs the opportunity to learn and connect with experienced mentors. The Executive Chairman of the Jospong Group of Companies Dr. Joseph Siaw Agyapong who is also an elder of the church, charged the youth to capitalize on ideas, research and investigate issues emphasising that a business does not always necessarily require fiscal capital to flourish.“It is important to identify available resources and potentials, consult experienced persons and above all seek divine intervention from God in all fields of endeavour” explained Dr. Agyapong. An elder of the church and CEO Of Kama Group of Companies Dr. Michael Agyekum Addo challenged the delegates to be innovative and creative in their ventures. He also advocated a change of mindset and the adoption of modern trends to promote businesses.
