Evictions on the Miss Malaika beauty pageant reality show has never been an easy experience for both the contestants and the show host who is the bearer of the bad news.
The moment of truth, the eviction night, last week was not any different from the previous emotional and teary nights as Eugenia Babonye, who came up for eviction with Aisha, Abigail and Lordina, had to leave the contest.
All four ladies were surprised when they camep up for eviction since they campaigned vigourously for votes from their fans.
But in the end the other three ladies were spared leaving disappointed Eugenia Babonye to hug, kiss and bid her friends farewell. All her friends were in tears for her.
Eugenia, after being evicted, wore a broad smile and told them not to cry for her. She said she wished them the best of luck.
“You ladies better make me proud”, she told them.
News of Eugenia's eviction, who was being mentored by Hamamat, came as a shock to some of the delegates, but she had to go.
With Eugenia gone, the Top Ten delegates now vying for the Miss Malaika crown are Twumwaa, Priscilla, Yoda, Selma, Lordina, Aisha, Abigail, Naa Oyoe, Betty and Lois.
The ten delegates are currently in South Africa, calming their tensed nerves before the grand finale on 12 October at the National Theater.
Keep voting for your favorite delegate by texting her name to 1757 across all networks.
Miss Malaika is a GhOne TV production with support from Charter House.
