Some departments and ministries remain closed as members of the Civil and Local Government Staff Association of Ghana, CLOGSAG, continue their strike.

Ghanaians who turned up at these offices to do business were left frustrated and disappointed.

They told JoyNews the strike will adversely affect their businesses and cost them money.

Members of CLOGSAG embarked on an indefinite strike last week over the implementation of their Market Premium under the Single Spine Salary Structure.

Most of the agencies and ministries JoyNews visited had pieces of red cloth hanged on the entrance signifying the offices were closed and the workers on strike.

Some clients Joy News spoke to expressed frustrations about thesituation.

A man who said he was supposed to pick up his birth certificate at the Birth and Death Registry for his visa appointment today appeared visibly dejected.

“I am sad and it is very bad...It is absolutely absurd,” the obviously disappointed man stated.

Another person asked whether he would be blamed if he is found operating with an expired business registration certificate since he was not able to renew his certificate at the Registrar-Genera'sl Department.
