MTN Ghana, through its charity organ MTN Foundation, has held its annual awards night to present cash awards to winners of the Season Five of thé MTN Heroes of Change.
The ceremony was held at the Accra International Conference Centre in Accra on Friday August, 16, 2019.
Ten innovative and selfless individuals who have been actively involved in various community and humanitarian initiatives received Gh30,000 while the overall winner Charles Ofori Antipem went home with the grand prize of Ghc100, 000.
This particular edition featured a physically challenged woman Madam Louisa Enyonam Ansah.
Madam Enyonam Ansah has lost both arms but got nominated for her extraordinary work with children.
Other winners include Frank Abeku Adams, Diana Adjei, Rev Fr Akologo Dominic Alale Azumah, Justin Yelevielbayire, Mawusi Awity, Charles Ofori Antipem, Daniel Owusu Asiamah, Benjamin Akinkang and David Hagan.
The event attracted top personalities such as the Director-General of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCOP) Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah, Chairman of the Chairman of the Chamber of Telecommunications Ken Ashigbe, MP for Builsa South, Dr Clement Apaak and Rev Fr. Andrew Campbell.
