Driver of dismissed deputy Minister of Communications, Victoria Hammah has denied circulating the leaked tape.
Lawrence Quayeson was arrested by the police Thursday evening following an official complaint lodged by Ms. Hammah accusing him of secretly recording her private conversation.
He was granted bail without being charged by the Mile 7 District Police, Achimota.
The immediate past deputy Minister is heard on the tape indicating her determination to make one million dollars in politics before involving herself in any rancour.
She also claimed among other things that a minister played a role in the Supreme Court judgment of the 2012 election petition which confirmed President Mahama as validly elected president.
But the driver at the centre of the controversy who is said to be the cousin of the sacked deputy minister denied the allegation.
According to Lawrence Quayeson, he will never do anything thing to hurt his boss because “we have a very good working relationship”.
“I’m not the one; she [Victoria] is angry and I can feel for her,” he added.
Lawrence Quayeson said even though Victoria Hammah ordered for his arrest, “she knows I cannot do this”.
Meanwhile, legal practitioner Samson Lardi Ayenini has described as illegal the arrest of dismissed deputy Communications Minister’s driver.
