Presidential Staffer, Clement Apaak, has been attacked by gun-wielding robbers at his Ashaleybotwe residence, Friday dawn.

The robbers made away with an amount of 7,350 Ghana cedis, a laptop, phones belonging to Apaak, his wife and brother-in-law in what the presidential staffer described as a "a good loot."

Clement Apaak confirmed the attack in an interview on Asempa FM's Ekosii-Sen program.

According to him, his brother-in-law was left bleeding after he was smacked with the back of the gun.

Describing how the incident occurred, Clement Apaak said he retired to bed late Thursday night after he appeared on Metro TV's Good Evening programme.

He said around 3:00 am Friday, he heard a loud bang on his wall and woke up abruptly only to find the robbers busily breaking into his rooms.

He said he quickly decided to lock the bedroom door but the robbers forced it open.

According to him, two of the robbers entered, one wielding a gun and ordered them to bring all the monies in their possession.

He said he quickly dipped his hand into his pocket and gave them 350 cedis but the robbers were not content with it as they demanded for more.

Clement Apaak said he then lied to the robbers that more money was in his wallet in another room, so he could manoeuvre and defend himself like the VANDAL he has always been but the wife knew what he was about to do so she quickly intervened by telling the robbers that more money was in another bag.

The bag contained  an amount of 7,050 cedis, money which Apaak said was meant for an official project.

They made away with the money together with other personal belongings, Apaak stated, adding that his brother-in-law was also attacked in his bedroom by one of the robbers, who also wielded a gun.

Clement Apaak said one person has been arrested in connection with the attack.
