The Economic and Organized Crime Organization (EOCO) has vowed it will retrieve all monies owed the state through fraudulent means by corrupt persons, who were involved in the Ghana Youth Employment and Entrepreneurial Development Agency (GYEEDA) scandal.

This assurance follows a statement by EOCO that so far more than thirty persons have been interrogated. These include Ministers of state and some GYEEDA officials.

"We have interrogated them. They are various categories, two ministers, one former minister, one MP, a lot of GYEEDA officials, some officials of financial institutions, and some other public officials", EOCO Boss, Mortey Akpadzi told Joy News, when he confirmed interrogating more than 30 people connected to the scandal.

According to him, EOCO has submitted two dockets to the Attorney General, who is reviewing them, while others are at various stages of preparation.

Additionally, Mr. Akpadzi pointed out that some of the suspects are on bail subject to completion of dockets.

Meanwhile, the EOCO boss says he does not know when the A-G would give its response to documents submitted to it, "but I understand that the A-G has formed special team that is looking at it very urgently" and will soon be made available.

EOCO was tasked by President John Mahama in July this year to among others, investigate the alleged criminal conducts and financial malfeasance of some persons.

The anti-corruption agency is also expected to present dockets on the case to the Attorney-General for possible prosecution.

It will be recalled that Joy FM's serialized reports on dubious contracts leading to the state losing millions of Ghana cedis to service providers at GYEEDA, compelled government to institute an investigation into the activities of the Agency.

The investigative report recommended the cancellation of some of the contracts because government is not getting value for money from those contracts as other investigative institutions were tasked to take up the issue and bring those culpable to face the full rigours of the law.
