Energy minister, Emmanuel Armah Kofi Buah has assured the chiefs of Aboadze that the necessary compensation will be paid for lands used for the T3 project.
The minister also promised that all traditional rites and rituals will be performed as engineers work hard to fix challenges facing the 132 megawatts plant at Aboadze.
The chiefs were reported to have cast a spell on the project site in protest over the non-performance of rituals and non-payment of compensation for the use of the land for the project.
They threatened that until their compensation is paid and their river god pacified, the plant will never work.
Some how, the 132 megawatts plant has been facing some challenges, engineers have confirmed and are working tirelessly to resolve the challenges.
The Energy Minister told Joy News' Kweku Owusu Peprah they are also sorting out the traditional aspects of the project.
"We are also going to work with them on the issue of compensation on the new lands acquired recently.
"Nananom are committed to doing that with us. We believe that tradition is very critical and we believe that all the issues Nananom have raised are very important and they will lead the way and we will give the support needed," he assured.
Kweku Owusu Peprah reported officials of the VRA as saying that it will take at least three months to fix all the engineering challenges at the project site for the country to have its 132 megawatts of power.
