Lawyer and senior journalist, Egbert Fabille Junior has admonished the youth to learn from the story of Komla Dumor, told in a flurry of eulogies, and set high standards for themselves.

Mr. Fabille described the late former Joy FM and BBC presenter as one who was passionate about standards and his sense of duty, which saw him rise to the world stage, must be emulated by every ambitious young man.

The 41-year-old ace broadcaster died suddenly at his home in London on Saturday, January 18, 2014.

Sharing some fond memories of relationship with the late Dumor at the University of Ghana where they were school mates, Mr. Fabille noted that there were diverse lessons to be learnt from the life of Komla Dumor.

"The clear signal for the youth of today is that [there's] no easy ride to the top; whatever you set your mind or heart out to do, just make sure that you go through the mill.

"The Komla story, if it is told and told well, has too many sign posts; any youth who takes 20% of the Komla Dumor story will not regret," Mr. Fabille told Francis Abban, co-host of the Super Morning Show on Joy FM Thursday.

Kofi Bentil, Vice president of IMANI-Ghana said Komla trained himself for greatness and motivated himself despite "the temporary pressures" around him.

Mr. Bentil described the impact of Komla's death as one that transcends the borders of Ghana.

"For me we've lost the best spokesperson for Africa," Mr. Bentil stated.
