The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has publicly spoken for the first time after news made the rounds on social media about his death.
The Ashanti King Saturday afternoon visited the local Blacks Stars at their camp in Cape Town, South Africa.
He was there to encourage the team ahead of their CHAN finals with Libya later this evening where he revealed that President Mahama has promised a package for the team should they win the game.
He however began by emphasizing that he has been in South Africa not because he is unwell.
Otumfuo Osei Tutu stressed that he is in South Africa for his regular health-check which he does every year.
He said the health-check was necessary to keep him going against any predictable sickness.
The Ashanti King also explained that he decided to stay a little longer in that country just to relax due to the routine workload in Ghana.
