A visually impaired student Master Losu of the Adidome Senior High School in the Central Tongu District is asking for government's support for students with disability in order to enhance their education.
At a speech and prize day of the Adidome SHS, Losu said they have what it takes to match up with their able bodied colleagues but they need maximum support.
He lamented what he said is the disability unfriendly nature of the infrastructure at the school, a situation which needed immediate attention.
The Headmaster of the school Mr. E.K. Avor agreed with Losu.
He told the gathering of students, teachers and parents that a bigger and permanent space is urgently needed to cater for the increasing number of visually impaired students.
The Volta Region Minister Nii Larye Afotey Agbo who was present at the ceremony reiterated government's commitment to ensuring the rights of every child to quality education is respected.
