Sudan 4-0 Sao Tome and Principe
Sudan made a superb start in Group C after thrashing Sao Tome and Principe 4-0 on Wednesday night.
Goals from Mohamed El-Rasheed, Ahmed Hamed Eltetsh, Ramadan Agab and own goal from Jordao Diogo handed the home side victory and top spot in the group.
Malawai 1-0 South Sudan
Malawi started their qualifying campaign with a 1-0 triumph over South Sudan.
Gabhadinho Mhango netted the game's only goal after 68 minutes.
Senegal 2-0 Congo
Senegal got their qualifying campaign off to a winning start after defeating Congo 2-0 at the Stade Lat Dior.
First-half goals from Sidy Sarr and Habibou Mouhamadou Diallo secured victory for the Lions of Teranga.
Namibia 2-1 Chad
Chris Katjiukua was the hero for Namibia, who defeated Chad 2-1 on Wednesday evening.
The hosts went ahead through Adoassou Matthieu's before Ezechiel Ndouassel levelled matters. However, Namibia had the final say after Katjiukua got the winning goal on 76 minutes.
Nigeria 2-1 Benin
The Super Eagles rallied from behind to claim a 2-1 victory over Benin at the Akwa Ibom Stadium.
Stephane Sessegnon gifted the visitors the lead after just three minutes, but Victor Osimhen restored parity from the penalty spot before Samuel Kalu got the winner after the hour mark.
Angola 1-3 Gambia
Gambia managed to claim an impressive victory on the road after defeating Angola 3-1 on Wednesday night.
Assan Ceesay starred for the visitors after netting a brace while the visitors netted a third late. Wilson Eduardo bagged a consolation for Angola.
