The University of Professional Studies, Accra’s Media and Website Coordination Unit has been adjudged ‘Most Eminent PR/Corporate Communications Team of the Year’ at the 2019 National Communications Awards (NCA).
The UPSA media and Website team beat off stiff competition from Ghana Investments Promotion Council (GIPC), GCB Bank, Newmont, GCNET, Vivo Energy and two others, to clinch the award which sought to recognise institutions with a strong brand presence online.
The university was also the only educational institution/public sector university that was featured in the award scheme that held last Saturday at the Export Trade House in Accra.
Media Assistant of UPSA, Freeman Kwade, who received the award on behalf of the University expressed the Unit’s gratitude to the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Abednego Feehi Okoe Amartey, who through his vision and leadership, created the Unit two years ago.
He further dedicated the award to the staff and students of the University as well as their loyal followers on social media.
The NCA seeks to honour excellent communications companies, teams and individuals with strong media and online presence across the country.
