The National Council for Curriculum and Assessment has started the second stage of the Junior High School (JHS) to Senior High School (SHS)1 curriculum (common core programme) review in the Eastern region.
Tuesday’s subject panels were reviewing and incorporating feedback from key subject experts into the draft common core programme.
The Executive Secretary of NaCCA, Dr Prince Hamid Armah in his opening address commended the participants for dedicating themselves to the reform agenda.
He pointed out that the exercise has the potency of changing the human resource capacity of this country and improving the welfare of our people.
Dr Armah encouraged participants to stay focused and deliver on time. The 5-day workshop is expected to end on Friday 29th November 2019.
By the end of this stage, the subject panels would have developed indicators for the content standard and exemplars for each grade-level.
