An unidentified man has been crushed to death by a moving train Wednesday morning in Takoradi.
The victim, believed to be in his early 30s and a dockworker at the Takoradi Port, died instantly after the train knocked him unto the rails beheading him.
Narrating the incident to the Daily Graphic, an eyewitness, Mr. Samuel Quayson, said at about 8a.m. he, in the company of the deceased and others were walking on the rail line towards New Takoradi.
According to him, the victim was walking in the direction of the oncoming train and was advised to keep off the lane of the train but he refused.
He narrated that in a split second, the train had hit their friend and dragged him on the rails before his head was chopped off.
Police at the scene of the accident told the Daily Graphic that investigations would be carried out to establish the identity of the victim.
