An accident on the Dominase road near Komenda Junction in the Central region, Saturday, February 8, has claimed the lives of two unidentified persons and injured several others.
According to the Central Regional PRO of the Ghana National Fire Service, Assistant Division Officer 1, Abdul Wasiu Hudu who was at the scene of the incident, a burst tyre caused the minibus the victims were traveling in to pivot off the road into the bush.

While those injured were rushed to the hospital before the arrival of the police and fire service personnel, the dead bodies were left in the car.
This according to Mr. Wasiu Hudu was due to the presence of bees, who attacked residents anytime they attempted to retrieve the bodies.

He told journalists, due to frequent accidents recorded on various highways across the country, the fire service is coming up with a program that will teach basic first aid to residents along highways on how to assist accident victims.
He was optimistic, it will help reduce fatalities caused by poor handling of victims after an accident.
