A 14 year old boy may live the rest of his life in distress after being sodomized five times by an eighteen year old boy.
The incident occurred at Kitase in the Eastern Region two months ago.
The victim who spoke to Joy News on condition of anonymity says the incident has forced him to quit school temporarily for fear of being ridiculed by his friends.
He told Joy News’ Kwakye Afreh-Nuamah that the suspect lured him into an uncompleted building with a promise of giving him a phone.
He said the accused, Stephen Ntiri, claimed the phone belongs to his father and did not want a certain unnamed boy to see that he has given him the phone. He therefore sent the other boy to buy toffee.
After the boy had left, Stephen Ntiri, instead of giving the victim the phone threatened, to beat him and took him to an uncompleted building where he forcibly had sex with him.
An obviously distraught mother of the victim told Joy News her son’s ordeal has left her devastated.
She said she was taken ill instantly when she heard about the issue. She was more terrified that the son might die as a result of the act.
She said she asked the son to quit school temporarily because she fears the suspect will repeat the action. She explained that while in school the suspect picks him up and takes him to an obscure venue and sodomizes him. She is calling on the government to investigate the matter, arrest and sanction the suspect.
Meanwhile, Stephen Ntiri who is on the run says he regrets the incident.
He told Nuamah he did not know what came over him to commit the act.
He appealed to the boy’s mother to withdraw the case from the police, saying the father would be willing to pay them and settle the matter amicably.
The Akropong Divisional police command is still investigating the matter as they make efforts to arrest the suspect.
