Kumasi Asante Kotoko on Saturday whipped Asko de Kara of Togo 5-0 in an international friendly match played at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
The match was the 12th international friendly game Kotoko had engaged in, in recent times and was designed to keep the players busy as the team takes a break this weekend in the One Touch Premier League.
Kwadwo Poku scored the first goal for his side in the 15th minute when he surged forward into the 18 yard-box of the Togolese in a solo effort before delivering a pile driver that zoomed straight into the net.
He again scored in the 51st and 78th minutes, whilst Jordan Opoku and Nana Arhin Duah scored the other two goals for the Porcupine Warriors in the 65th and 90th minutes respectively.
In spite of the loss, Asko de Kara, who are currently the Togolese League Champions gave a good account of themselves with some brilliant skills and inter-positional passes to the admiration of the spectators,
