A security analyst, Irbard Ibrahim, has recommended that people should spend more on their personal safety to avoid being attacked by miscreants in the society.
To him, changing regular routes and frequently changing passwords are sure ways of out witting criminals, who are planning to attack.
Speaking to Joy News, Wednesday, Irbard Ibrahim noted that even though Ghana is considered the gate-way to the West Africa sub-region, the acts of murder cases in the past few months, are worrying.
According to him, people get attacked when they are in isolation, warning that "as much as possible, we should be in the company of other people all the time".
With people living in new sites, he advocated that more should be spent on personal security by installing surveillance cameras to ensure security.
Corporate bodies, he indicated, should not only look at the welfare of their employees, but also look at their personal safety, noting, "it will help in the larger security of the people in this country".
Irbard Ibrahim's comment comes at the back drop of recent killings of people in their homes.
Artiste manager, Fennec Okyere and a local chief, Nii Noryaatse are the latest victims of such alleged murders.
But in an interview with Joy News' Fiifi Koomson, the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Alhassan said such killings are premeditated crimes difficult to forecast.
However, at the launch of a programme to boost public confidence in the police Tuesday, March 18, 2014, the IGP gave the assurance that the police service is putting in place tough security measures to deal with such incidents.
"We think that these are premeditated crimes that are very difficult to forecast but if they do happen, we do our best to get the culprits involved and bring them before the courts", the IGP noted.
