Government and Hospital Pharmacists are beginning a nationwide partial strike from today.
Night and weekend services as well as services on public holidays are being withdrawn. NHIS cardholders will also not be served.
The strike is in protest against delays in the payment of conversion difference under the Single Spine Salary Structure.
Stephen Corquaye is Chairman of the Government and Hospitals Pharmacists Association, GHOSPA.
"Last year we had a two months strike action after which the Minister of Health through the presidency set up a cabinet sub-committee to look at our matter.
"We were invited, Fair Wages were invited and Labour Commission were invited. Recommendations were done.
He said eight months after, nothing has been done in resolving their grievances.
He said for that services withdrawn will not be provided until their grievances are resolved.
