Isaac Coffie has done his part as a studious student but poverty threatens to undo all the good work as this brilliant Senior High School graduate wastes away somewhere in Apam in the Central Region.
The extremely brilliant Senior High School graduate racked up an amazing score of 7 A's and a 'B' in the 2013 West African Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination.
He pulled off this feat at a less fancied Methodist Snr High School in the Central Region.
The Business student scored 'A1' in Social Studies, Mathematics(Core), Integrated Science, Business Management, Financial Accounting, Economics and Mathematics(Elective). He managed a 'B3' in English.

But a disastrous fishing season means his fisherman father has no means of furthering the education of his son - his real hope out of a demeaning poverty.
The plight of Isaac was revealed to myjoyonline.com by the assembly man for Mumford, Samuel Koomson.
He says, Isaac Coffie is currently teaching at a private primary school in Apam where he earns Gh¢ 50 a month.
His transportation fee to work is Gh¢ 1 each day.
The Assembly man says he was heartbroken when Isaac's father approached him to narrate how need is stifling brilliance and diming the ambitions of his son.
But Mr. Koomson, a public servant, is already shouldering the cost of the education of four students from his electoral area - none of them his own. He is crushing under his own philanthropy.
But with a louder voice as an assembly man, he is joining the desperate father to shout ' help, help, help'.
