Police in the Central Region have picked up three final year students of the St. Andrews Senior High School, for brutalizing a form two student, leading to severe damage to his bladder.
The three were picked on Thursday, after their Mathematics examination in the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) held at the premises of the school.
Joy News' central regional correspondent, Richard Kwadwo Nyarko, reported that the three final year students accused the form two student, Patrick Arko, of failing to attend a social gathering in the school.
But the victim denied the accusation leveled against him.
As a result of the alleged refusal of the victim to attend the social gathering, the final year students subjected Patrick Arko to severe beatings amid stepping on his chest and abdomen several times.
According to the victim, he collapsed in the process of the act and only gained consciousness at the hospital, where doctors tried their best to revive him.
The victim now urinates through a tube, making him go through psychological and physical trauma.
Uncle of the victim, Kwesi Amoah described the condition of the victim after the incident as very precarious and therefore needed urgent measures to be taken to forestall future occurrences.
The matter was reported to the central regional police command about a month ago upon which the three suspect were arrested on Thursday.
Mr. Kwesi Amoah therefore wanted justice to be served expeditiously on the issue and the authorities of the school also brought to book after failing to act on the matter for almost a month, when the incident took place.
