The Ghana Health Service has dispelled latest fears about the outbreak of the Ebola Virus in Ghana.
It follows reports that eight persons had attracted the virus across the country.
After testing the suspected victims, the head of disease surveillance at the Ghana Health Service, Dr Badu Sarkodie said all the cases have proven negative.
He said suspected victims had symptoms of the virus but tests indicate the victims were negative.
He said Ghana is for now free from the Ebola virus but warned the threat is not over.
"The cases that we suspected have been tested and are all negative for Ebola.
"Our surveillance system is up," he assured.
"We can say Ghana is free from Ebola disease but we are making this awareness to let people sustain the education; sustain the public awareness.
"The threat is not over," he warned, adding Ghana must still keep its borders secured.
There has been an outbreak of Ebola virus in the sub-region with reported deaths in Guinea and other West African countries.
