The Communications Director of King Faisal FC, Mr Samuel Otoo has expressed optimism about the chances of the team in the 2008/9 Premier League.
He told the GNA Sports in Kumasi on Friday in an interview that he has however, cautioned the players to approach every match with all the seriousness it deserves if they are to realize the club’s objectives.
Faisal currently lie at the 12th position on the three-week-old League table with two points, but the Communications Director insisted that the club could have done better if the playing body had gone all out in the three matches they had played.
Commenting on their match against Sekondi Eleven Wise in Kumasi as an example, Mr Otoo said the club was lucky to have earned a point because of the lukewarm attitude displayed by the players.
He said, “Surprisingly our players played as if nothing was at stake and cared little about the outcome of the match”, adding that he has therefore urged the playing body to step up their game in subsequent matches to ensure success for the Club.
This, he said, was necessary in view of the fact that management had since the commencement of the league done everything possible to motivate the players.
Mr Otoo also called on the supporters to cooperate and support the efforts of the Chief Executive Officer, (CEO) Mr Vincent Sowah Odotei in his activities so that the standard and development of the club can be uplifted.Source: GNA
